It is easy to take the world around us for granted. We see the same things everyday for the most part and we have developed a routine in our lives. Instead of simply going through the motions though, appreciate everything that you encounter. The people, places, animals, objects, and everything around you is what makes your life so beautiful. Each thing and everything we can observe has a deeper quality to it than we sometimes would think. Ask yourself, what is this? Where did it come from? What purpose does it serve? What is it made of? How long will it last? Then ask the same question about yourself. Are you so different? These things that you take for granted may seem now to belong here just as much as you do. It may seem sometimes that you would be better off without something in your life; however, these things are what make the true experience of life. Without challenges or pain we would never improve.

Even difficulty has its place in guiding us. If you accept the things in your life that we often call “bad” or “difficult”, you will find that life will still continue on. It’s your choice if you want to make your time a struggle. You can complain and struggle through things when they are tough or you can observe them, work through them, and learn from them. Embracing life for what it is means embracing the “good” and the “bad” in life. After that is accomplished, it is clear that there really is no “good” or “bad”. There is just life.
